To my fellow LGBTQAI+ community. THIS CHURCH IS FULLY AFFIRMING. They will fully accept and embrace you as your are, allow you to serve, lead and will even perform marriage ceremonies for you and your significant other. All REALLY are welcome and celebrated. On a more personal note. I have been attending this church for a couple of months and every Sunday I am rocked by the music and moved by the message. It is a small but very lively congregation full of many different people and walks of life. And the music is POPPIN. Authenticity is central to this church! Healing and growth are possible and real here. As an LGBTQAI+ person myself, I have never felt more loved, safe, accepted and secure in a church home. These people are for real. They know how to love, have fun, be real and human while striving to love like christ did. Come enjoy your religious and spiritual roots again in a truly safe space for you! 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️

I have never felt as comfortable in a church as I do at Collective. I didn't grow up in the church. I first started attending the church my boyfriend at the time went to and never really connected with the message, worship, or community. Once I went to college at PLNU in San Diego, I was on a mission to find a home church. None of the churches I visited in my first 3 years felt like home. Some were too big which made me feel like a number rather than a person. Some focused too much on their appearance, whether that be everyone looking like hipsters or the worship feeling too rehearsed and showy. Others, I just couldn't relate to the messages. I guess I'm picky, but I didn't want to pick a church for the convince of it. I want to genuinely feel at home with God and my community at a church, and I get that at Collective San Diego. The Pastors at Collective, Anthony and Lindsay, pour their heart and soul into everything they do. Anthony's messages are so relatable, fun, and real. I don't think I have ever walked out of that building not feeling inspired and motivated to live my best life for Jesus. Sometimes I listen to the messages again on the podcast for a mid week refresher (they are that good). Lindsay's worship is so authentic, beautiful, and passionate. Every time she sings I swear I get chills. The vibe of the building really allows for me to open up during worship which has always been a struggle for me. Another thing I love about Collective San Diego is that it's only two years old, yet they have given back sooo much to the community. No one gets a pay check so that means all the money that we give goes directly into the community and God's Kingdom. I have been with the church for almost two years and the members and pastors are some of my closest friends. That's what church should be about, a community that loves each other and is constantly working to give back to God's Kingdom! Not to mention, they also have coffee and donuts every Sunday!
