Went here to find some helpful items for pain and sleep for a family member. Maya helped us, and she was patient, kind, and knowledgeable. She helped my family member with a tons of questions, explained what to use for pain vs sleep or both, how much to take of each item, and that they take debit, even on top of the ATMs inside. The debit came in handy because I raided their huge display of snacks lol. She also made sure we got as many discounts as possible for being new customers, a senior discount, and promo items! The guards out front were funny and nice, too. We'll definitely be back!

My first visit was 2 days before my birthday. Heard lots of great things. Thought the “vibe” would translate into a first time customer deal (only for orders of over $60, they didn’t make an exception.). I thought the proximity of my birthday would similarly get me a birthday bonus. I explained I was working all day that day and couldn’t come in- it fell on a Monday. Nope. Also, no Jane Pay. Also, more expensive items with fewer “deals,” mostly the same stuff as everywhere else, but a few interesting selections. Some people seem to adore the place. I’m not there yet. I want my birthday gravy!

(Update: 3/2025) Maya, Ezra, and Mark are the best! They are both super friendly and Mark gave me some great recommendations for next time. Also, hooray for implementing a new medical discount / Medical Mondays! (Update: 2/2025) My last visit was mixed, but today's visit was very pleasant and every person I interacted with was so sweet and conversational, and the weekend discounts were a great incentive to stop by! I'll definitely be back. :) (Update: 1/2025) After visiting this dispensary a few times, I have updated my rating and review to better reflect my experiences and provide additional insight to potential visitors. Unfortunately, your experience will depend on the staff you interact with. Some of the staff members are very amicable, knowledgeable, and eager to help, while others are a bit unfriendly and standoffish. This is a facility that primarily caters to recreational users, but offers a discount to medical patients. If I recall correctly, it's around 10% for flower, but the discount will vary depending on product type. Additionally, if you are looking to place a pre-order, be aware that the website has quite a few bugs and it is not the most intuitive to use. Another minor frustration I had was not being able to interact with the gear products before buying anything - you are able to look at gear but you cannot touch the product to get a better sense of the quality of the material unless you purchase it - but this isn't atypical for any dispensary.

I love this dispensary it reminds me of the Michigan dispensaries where everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. Perception cannabis is a whole other look, vibe, feel, and atmosphere than any other Chicago or Evanston dispensary. This is my second time here and already my favorite dispensary in the city hands down and is worth the travel from Davis in Evanston for me. My bud tender mark was a knowledgeable and kind young man with whom I talked about the product I was buying and he confirmed that the vape I had chosen was a good brand and a good smoke. I encourage everyone to try perception cannabis. & If you get mark as your bud tender you’re in great hands. The rest of the staff is wonderful as well! Did I mention daily deals? I’m going to shut up about it but seriously what are you waiting for? JUST GO TO PERCEPTION CANNABIS ALREADY! Ps try the marmas bar vapes! 😊😅💛
