UPDATE: They’re now closed. Bloop On April 15, 2025, at approx- 9:15 AM “Golden Gate Cannabis Company”- a dispensary I frequent once or twice a week and am typically welcomed at without issue. On this particular morning, I was met with hostility and discrimination by a manager named Juan, whom I had never seen before. Upon entering, I politely asked to see the available Indica products-a routine request I’ve made many times before. However, Juan refused to accommodate my request and became immediately dismissive, rude, loud and combative. The security staff present at the time even acknowledged that I am a regular customer and have never caused any problems. Juan falsely claimed that to the security on duty at the time, that I’ve previously entered the store intoxicated and had been banned—a statement that is both untrue and unsupported by any store policy or system record. I have never interacted with this manager before, especially since I typically visit in the afternoon or evening hours. When I requested the owner’s contact information, Juan refused and instead suggested I contact local law enforcement. I did so, and the officers I spoke with guided me on how to file a formal complaint against the business. Since then, I have reported the incident to the Better Business Bureau, the Department of Cannabis Control, and another regulatory authority. Juan also instructed me to return around 1 PM, suggesting the owner might be available. When I arrived, another employee-an Asian male I have also encountered before-was working. To my surprise, he too became hostile and unprofessional. “Stating you’re banned from our location because you called the police”. I informed Juan and the Asain male that their behavior constituted harassment and began recording the interaction for documentation purposes. He stated that they did not want my business and that they would not sell me any cannabis products. I then clarified that I was not there to make a purchase, but rather to obtain information on how to contact the owner and to file a formal complaint regarding Juan, the manager, and now, also- the asain male (worker). At that point, the Asian male and Juan (the manager) became more increasingly aggressive in tone, confrontational, and dismissive of my concerns. The behavior I experienced is completely unacceptable. I’m not sure who the manager or employee mistook me for, but the manager and employee conduct was not only unprofessional but also concerning, particularly in how they interacted with a female customers. I’ve never had any issues at this location until Juan was assigned to assist me. (Please note: you’re Latino, not white). As part of Juan’s and the Asain male role, it is their responsibility to assist customers professionally and respectfully. If they are unwilling or unable to do so, perhaps they should reconsider their position in customer service or explore other career options more aligned with their preferences. I strongly advise others to save their money and take their business elsewhere. Due to my experience, I already filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau, the Department of Consumer Complaints, The Department Of Cannabis Control and other relevant agencies (I do not wish to provide details). There are numerous other cannabis clubs in the area that offer welcoming, unbiased service to all customers. These include Stiiizy, Magic Flower, Grass Roots, Outer Haze, Moe Greens, and Barbary Coast, etc. Each of these establishments are known for providing a respectful and inclusive environment, free from discrimination/harassment of any kind. I encourage you to support businesses that value their customers and treat them with fairness. Spend your hard-earned money at places that truly deserve it-do not support this establishment! To the owner: I hope you’re prepared to face the consequences of how this business is being ran. If this is the team you’ve chosen to represent your brand, the responsibility ultimately falls on you. I do not take harassment or discrimination lightly!

Don’t come here. This store is super disrespectful. I went there yesterday and the clerk was being super disrespectful and ignorant. I’m not sure if this store is use to only dealing with homeless people in the area but not everyone is homeless.

I went their and as I was providing my I.D to enter ...it stated in the computer that I was BAND. Never been before and said that I was arguing with the security guard about something and screaming. This was the reason why the register Identified that I had no transaction their so he approved me sevices. The reason why I gave him a three instead of a five because he did rectify the situation and the customer service were okay and then the prices was reasonable yeah so at 3 ✨. But the present one that was there at the same day I had arrived was courteous was a hospitable and I had good energy so yeah I can give him a 4 but I'm going to stay at 3:00 cuz we're going to see the next time I go there when I get good service I'm just telling the truth you know I mean I'm not a sanctified guy but if anyone that has good courtesy good performance truthfully good energy and makes me feel good anyone is this way they would continue to come back and serve and have business there so let's see the next time but yeah three guys and whoever sees this as the Golden gate cannabis company I appreciate you guys and I'll see you again

The staff was nice, and the security guard was massive.. went for the 2 for 30$. The Downside was that their product's quantity don't reflect on the website. So I wasn't able to get what I originally wanted, but happy with what I got.

Security guard was almost comical. He looked the other way and failed to acknowledge us and yelled at us , “closed” before we got to the entrance. He didn’t look at us the whole time we were there, as if we were not worthy of him. I had called prior to this and spoke to a very professional and kind gentleman who said he would put the stuff aside. The nice guy was inside and spotted us and had the guard let us in, much to the security guards dismay. The associates inside were kind enough to let me in so I could purchase my product. They were wonderful. As we left the security guard again refused to acknowledge us and let us out. We spent $280 that night and we took about 10 minutes after closing. This seems like a great business and it’s very disappointing that one employee can cause such animosity towards customers.
