Edit to add (Jan 2026)- there is a new employee there who is such a positive addition to this store. A younger person with an accent and wears a beani. He Goes above and beyond to explain any thing I may have a query with and is an asset to your store. Very knowledgeable with the industry. Always helpful, Nish and Kieran were super helpful with helping me make my selection today. Nice and easy experience. Will be back

Shopped here many times over the years and there's been a lot of great staff but I think I'm done. Alistar Virgo's review is sadly pretty close to my experiences. Jay has only been condescending to me as a customer since my first interaction in the summer and over my number of visits I'd agree he's rude and a misogynist to other staff and customers. I can see him get sweet as sugar if another customer clearly has more money to spend and ill tell you, that feels really crappy. He has spoken over me each time and he discounts my personal experience. He interrupts other customers chatting with staff we've known a long time. I've also overhead some nasty language out of him about our local community - he seems to have cast a pretty harsh judgment on our community and its residents.

I've been going to this spot since it's opened up because it's on our way home from work and it's been easy, professional, clean until very very recently. The store staff has always been the best kind. Totally right on, chill, and exactly what you want out of a cannabis retail experience but your most recent hire is an absolute mistake. My partner and I went in yesterday on boxing day hoping for a quick in and out as most dispensary pickups usually are, but it's now twice I've had a very negative experience with this guy that took far too long to get nothing. I don't know his name, but its a short brown dude with sad facial hair and massive blood thirsty car salesman energy. Tbh I never thought you guys might work on commission till my interactions with him. We had just walked in and started talking to one of our favourite staff members. Maybe just a sentence in, I literally saw Sad Facial Hair abandon his customer at till who was still waiting for the card transaction prompt, only to physically push aside his coworker, and tell us about a sale that only he personally could give... Which okay... whatever maybe he was just telling us about boxing day sales and was just being weird, but then he came BACK as we were talking to the other very lovely staff member to push more about things we didn't want at all. We were never asked what we wanted or what was right for us as buyers, just pushed to buy indicas which were all that were left when we clearly said we didn't want indicas because of health reasons. He then proceeded to rant about terpenes and told me "oh, nobody's ever told you about terpenes?" and laughed at me. I'm totally unimpressed at this point because this was the SECOND time he's given me this exact same rant with the exact same vaguely misogynistic, flippant attitude. Like being a jerk was something he had practiced in the mirror and he even had a nasty pitch memorized. I'm well into my 30s, working in community care for harm reduction services for several years and been partaking since before cannabis was made legal so we had to buy from the shady corner store with the chillest guy in a tie dye hat. I told Sad Facial Hair 2 or 3 times we just wanted to look to see what was here because we were still deciding between buying flower or going for a vape depending on options (which the other guy totally respected and was cool about) but I had to basically raise my voice saying I wasn't interested in his sales and he was stressing me out with his pushiness. I'm sure the whole store heard at this point and it's not like anyone likes to make a scene because they were being bullied by a nasty sales person. My partner bought something and I walked out, but they came back to return the flower they bought because honestly this experience sucked and was totally disrespectful to not just your clientele but also your staff. My partner said something along the lines of "oh my transaction bounced and I'd like a return" to try and save you guys face with the new crowd that was in the store but Sad Facial Hair literally laughed. I haven't seen this kind of person surviving in retail since the early 2000s and for good reason. It drives away loyal customers and hard working staff. Everyone else is the incredible standard of right on people and good help is difficult to find. I sure am not coming back and am now going to the much more inconvenient location by Renfrew unless this guy is either heavily reprimanded and apologizes to everyone he's been a total jerk to including your other staff, or fired. Imagine if I were younger and more timid of a person. Someone else might have been completely bullied and just never come back because they felt so awful. Totally unacceptable. Others who see this post, this shop is generally right on and in a great location. But I hope you are not so unfortunate to receive Sad Facial Hair as your clerk because nobody likes a snarky buying experience with someone that is the comical textbook definition of mansplaining and desperate sales person.

This place was amazing to buy at! Jay was a pleasure to get help from and so the staff in general is great. The vibes are 100% it. I recommend to come by at least one if you pass around the hastings area
