I called the store to check and see if I could still make a purchase even though I misplaced my wallet and do not have a current piece of ID available to show. I explained that I do have a photo of my current ID (which is not a valid piece of ID - I know- I worked in a dispensary for 2 years during the pandemic and I am fully aware that a physical, current/ non- expired piece of ID is required) and an old health care card which is expired (which I’m aware is also NOT VALID as ID). I also took the time to read the FAQs on the website where they specified that they will need a valid piece of photo ID for purchasing. The person on the phone said it was no problem and just to explain to the person who gives me my order that I lost my wallet and these are all I can provide right now- it shouldn’t have been an issue. I have made multiple orders in the past, both online and in person, that were all delivered and signed with ID in the past few months so I am very aware of the process and was totally willing to forego ordering if it was going to be too much hassle while the wallet is missing. I proceeded with the order. The delivery driver showed up, I came down stairs and started to explain that I had spoken to someone on the phone about the situation and provided both the photo and physical piece of ID. Before I could even finish my breath, he cut me off and rudely pointed out the obvious that I just explained to him “that’s a photo and that’s expired- I’m not giving you your order. You can come to the store and pick it up if you like. You can explain it to them.” He was extremely impolite. I was used to all of the nice people who work in the store but all it takes is one bad experience to ruin it for you. I will no longer be shopping here. Not because I didn’t get my order- but purely because of how rude the driver was. I’ve worked in the industry and been a host, bud-tender and cashier for a cannabis dispensary for 2 years - so I understand the rules around IDs and needing to follow them. But the attitude and rudeness really put me off. I don’t want to be part of a company who treats people that way. When you work in customer service you should treat the people that buy your products and provide you with revenue with a bit of respect and dignity. There are far better places to shop with much nicer people working there to help you.

Great staff, and vibe in this store. Staff very knowledgeable if you have any questions. Selection of products the best I've seen in Ottawa, with competitive prices! Very busy store compared to other's, so wait can be a little longer at times, but definitely worth it in the end.

Great service from the staff. Good selection. Prices are about the same as everywhere. Biggest issue is it's sooooo slow. Beyond slow. From the gate holding you up, to each transaction taking ten minutes on their iPads. If you go in and there's a couple of people already there, you're looking at a good half hour. The last thing you need. If you want fast service, this isn't the place.

Recently moved into the area. Bought a product that ended up being defective. Owner Joel, was supportive and receptive. With all the regulations for returns/exchanges on used products. His staff and himself were extremely helpful. And took care of business without hiccups... Highly recommend this establishment and will NOT go elsewhere... Joel you have our support and business bar none.. Mike

By far the best customer service ever!!! Friendly and knowledgeable staff, great prices, comfortable atmosphere. There’s always something cool going on in the shop, I mean what else could you want from an amazing local business. I highly recommend anyone check out Chrontact 👍
